Many of my clients have had great success with their weight loss program I have formulated for them. There are some simple rules that need to be followed if someone wants to lose weight and continue to keep it off. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. What’s more important is what you have for breakfast. I’m going to outline my nutritional approach to a healthy breakfast here not only for people who want to lose weight and also want to maintain.

What has gained tremendous popularity over the years is the meat and nut breakfast. It is popularized by a famous fitness trainer and guru named Charles Poliguin. This is a breakfast that is very popular in Europe with professional athletes or anybody wants to take their game to the next level. The reasoning behind his breakfast is that the first thing in the morning eating carbohydrates is not recommended for mental and athletic performance. Eating a meat and not breakfast first thing in the morning gives you protein and healthy fats. This helps set up your neurotransmitters that you don’t not crave carbohydrates or sweets later on the day. It’s very simple 4 to 6 ounces of a protein such as chicken, lean beef, turkey or even wild game. Along with a handful of nuts. The key here is to alternate the meat and the knots. Here’s an example

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 1
• 1-2 Buffalo meat patties
• 1 handful of macadamia nuts

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 2
• 1 large venison steak
1 handful of Cashews

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 3
• 1-2 Lean turkey burgers
• 1 handful of almonds

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 4
• 1-2 lean ground beef patties
• 1 handful of brazil nuts

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 5
• 1-2 chicken breasts
• 1 handful of hazelnuts

Meat and Nuts Breakfast Day 6
• 8-10 gluten free chicken sausages

Eating this type of breakfast aligns your sugar levels and also is very healthy for mental focus. Also during the day you will not crave sweets or bad carbohydrates.  helping you to maintain your weight loss program the rest of the day. As a personal fitness trainer I have tried this program.
